Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 2026
1. Overview
linqmarket ("we", "us", "our") operates a prediction market platform. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect from you, how we use it, and the choices you have regarding your information. By using the Platform you agree to the practices described here.
2. Information We Collect
Account information: when you register we collect your email address (if provided), a hashed password, and any profile details you optionally add. Wallet information: if you sign in via a crypto wallet (SIWE), we collect and store your public wallet address. Transaction data: we record all deposits, withdrawals, trades, positions, and ledger entries associated with your account. Usage data: we collect IP addresses, timestamps, browser type, device type, and page-interaction data to secure and improve the Platform. Contact data: if you submit a message via our contact form, we store your name, email address, and message contents.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to: (a) create and manage your account; (b) process transactions and maintain your balance; (c) detect fraud, abuse, and market manipulation; (d) communicate with you about your account and transactions; (e) improve the Platform's features and user experience; (f) comply with applicable legal obligations; and (g) send operational notifications relevant to your positions and account activity.
4. Wallet Addresses and On-chain Activity
Blockchain transactions are by nature public and permanent. Any transaction you initiate on-chain (deposits, withdrawals) is visible on the respective blockchain explorer. We do not control the visibility of on-chain data. Your custodial deposit address is generated and stored securely for your account.
5. Cookies and Tracking
We use session cookies and localStorage to maintain your login state and language preference. We do not use third-party advertising trackers or sell your data to third parties for marketing purposes. Analytics, if used, are privacy-preserving and do not share individual-level data.
6. Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties. We may share information with: (a) service providers who help us operate the Platform (infrastructure, email delivery, analytics) under strict data-processing agreements; (b) regulatory authorities when required by applicable law; (c) parties in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets (in which case users will be notified).
7. Data Retention
We retain your account data as long as your account is active. Transaction and ledger records are retained indefinitely for financial integrity and audit purposes. Usage logs are purged after 180 days. Contact form submissions are retained for up to 1 year. You may request deletion of your account, which will anonymize your personal identifiers while retaining aggregate financial records required for integrity.
8. Security
We use industry-standard encryption, access controls, and key management practices to protect your data. Private keys are encrypted and managed via a hardware-security-module-backed secrets vault and never stored in plaintext anywhere. However, no system is perfectly secure — you are responsible for the security of your own credentials.
9. Your Rights
You have the right to: (a) access the personal information we hold about you; (b) correct inaccurate information; (c) request deletion of your personal data, subject to retention requirements for financial integrity; (d) object to or restrict certain processing; (e) receive your data in a portable format where technically feasible. To exercise any of these rights, contact us via the contact form on the Platform.
10. Children
The Platform is not directed to individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we discover that a minor has registered an account, we will terminate the account and delete the associated data.
11. Third-party Links
The Platform may contain links to external sites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites and encourage you to review their privacy policies before providing any information.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be announced via the Platform. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Continued use after changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
